Local Ministries

special offerings

Our Mission:  Provide the congregation with the opportunities to be in mission and to support missions globally, nationally and locally.

The Mission Team developed it’s list of local, national, and international organizations to give to during 2022.

Community meal

Established in March 2012, we have been serving a meal every Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall of our church. This meal offers a welcoming atmosphere, food, fellowship and acceptance to all who come through our doors. Enthusiastically supported by many volunteers from our congregation, as well as others from our community, we serve from 40 to 80 people each week. Four cooking teams, each serving once a month, prepare the meals in our Health Department certified kitchen. A fifth team serves on the fifth Tuesdays. Other volunteers greet, serve and clean up. In 2017, we served over 4,000 individual meals!

We partner with Manna Food Bank, Northwest Michigan Food Coalition and Food Rescue to provide wholesome, nutritious meals at minimal cost to us. Our meals are funded entirely through generous financial donations and in-kind services provided by our church.

Look for the sign in front of our church each Tuesday and come join us!

The Community Meal will not be served if the Mancelona Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather.

PRAYERS ARE IMPORTANT TO US!

We have installed a permanent Prayer Box outside of our church for anyone to stop and request a prayer for themselves or someone they love.  These written prayers are collected and prayed upon by our Pastor, lay leaders, and the congregation on Sunday mornings.  Those requesting prayers may remain anonymous or share contact information and the pastor or a member of our church will get back with them.  You can also email a prayer request to us.

Labyrinth

A classical-style labyrinth built by volunteers. Located in Cran Park (Corner of E. Michigan and S. Washington in Mancelona, Michigan). Built with field stones and bark chips. Two benches and flowers await visitors. Open to the public seven days a week from dawn to dark. Group walks will be held periodically.
You may find little keepsakes scattered among the stones marking the pathways. Feel free to take one home and the next time you visit consider leaving a small “gift” for someone else to find.
