A New Year and a New Opportunity!

Our Women’s Book Study,” Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World,” by Joanna Weaver. Nancy Wheeler will lead us in this book study which includes Bible references. The theme of this book is finding intimacy with God in the busyness of life. Easy to read and very encouraging!

Study will start up on September 10 at 2:30 pm. in the Church Conference Room.

At this meeting, a decision regarding meeting days and time will be established.

Adult Bible Study led by Pastor Douglas and Nancy Wheeler.

The study will be the Book of Philippians which was written by Paul and Timothy to the church in Philippi.

Central points: joy, humility, unity and the importance of the gospel.

Sessions will be about one hour

A benefit of attending this study is a face-to-face conversation with Pastor Douglas. Your opportunity to chat with Pastor.

Free Community Meal is at 5:00 pm in our Fellowship Hall.

When Mancelona Public Schools is closed due to weather, then there will be no Community Meal.

NEW!! – KAT (Kid’s Adventure Time) is now being offered during the Worship Service, following the offering/special music. Currently, we have 5th graders; however, we are set up for mixed ages whenever necessary. Your grandchildren, or other visitors with you, are always welcome to join us. KAT will take place every Sunday except the first Sunday which is Communion. What do they do? Devotions with a theme, scripture, prayer, music, craft or response experience. Children’s Ministry is designed to be creative and to have a good time which leads children into a deeper walk with God.

In addition, our Church offers a free community meal each Tuesday at 5:00 pm, for seniors there is a meal M-F at the Senior Center. In addition, Mancelona has two food pantries and a baby pantry. Our high school offers the Iron Vault where clothing, personal hygiene items, and weekend snacks are available for students.

The Mancelona Food Pantry and Resale Shop is open. Hours are 9 am to 3 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Also, the 211 number in Traverse City has a list of resources, county by county.

The COA is offering drive up meals Monday-Friday for Antrim Seniors at their Bellaire site.

Meals are available from 11:30am- 12:30pm BY RESERVATION- CALL 231-533-8703 BY 2 PM THE DAY BEFORE YOU WANT TO PICK UP A MEAL.

TEMPORARY MEALS ON WHEELS DAILY DELIVERY, MON-FRI, IS ALSO AVAILABLE-CALL THE COA, 231-533-8703 TO ARRANGE THIS SERVICE.
